DescriptionOne original 35 mm negative strip of Kodak Tri X Pan Film consisting of one section containing 4 images. The images were taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer at Love Field after a bomb threat on November 24, 1963.
Dallas Mayor Earle Cabell was the target of the bomb threat that afternoon. Police officers and airport staff secured the area and investigated his plane and all the passengers and luggage aboard. Cabell departed 40 minutes later than scheduled when nothing was found.
Curators have determined that the most likely photographer for this negative strip was Bill Beal, but this cannot be confirmed absolutely at this time.
