The transcripts were bound with metal bindings that were removed during the cataloguing process (SD 08/01/2014). Transcript is pages 2287 - 2625, on thin onionskin paper and the front and back covers are thick gray paper. There is a handwritten number 15 in pencil in the top right corner of the front cover. NOTE: The transcript only goes to page 2624 despite the cover saying the last page is 2625.
Melvin Belli, Joe Tonahill, Phil Burleson, and Sam Brody spoke for Ruby; Henry Wade, Dallas County District Attorney, was the prosecutor, assisted by Jim Bowie, Bill Alexander, and Frank Watts. The presiding judge was Judge Joe B. Brown.
Prospective jurors examined: George E. Slaton, Mrs. Mary E. Radcliff, Mrs. Betty L. Joshua, R. A. Coleman Jr., Rohellia Allen, Mrs. Alta Zachary, Mrs. Cleel Smith, Mrs. James Raicoff, Jim Henry Jones, Harry S. Reed, L. N. Floyd, Mrs. Betty Akin, Walter Bechtol, A. A.
