DescriptionAudio oral history interview with Barbara Patterson. While her husband was stationed at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth in 1963, Patterson had the opportunity to see President and Mrs. Kennedy at the base on both November 21 and 22, 1963.
Interview conducted by telephone on June 21, 2013 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is nineteen minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryAlthough the Museum has recorded multiple oral histories with individuals who saw the Kennedys at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Barbara Patterson is the only one interviewed to date who recalls seeing them arrive on the night of Thursday, November 21, and again the following day when the presidential party left Fort Worth for Dallas shortly before the assassination. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
