On November 22nd, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was shot from the upper, right-hand window of the building at left. The Presidential Limousine was located near the car at lower left.
In the Limousine with the Kennedys were Texas Governor John Connally, wounded by rifle fire, and Mrs. Connally. The accused, Lee Harvey Oswald, is buried in East Fort Worth.

The postcard was previously stored inside a hard, clear plastic sleeve, with a label printed in black text on white paper reading: "House on the Hill Collectibles / Darrell & Rita Holcomb / 616 Kessler, Sherman, Texas 75092 / 903-893-6826 hoh616@yahoo.com." The plastic sleeve has been disposed of, and the postcard and label have been rehoused inside a mylar sleeve.
