He first recorded an audio oral history in 1996 while living in California, unique for being the only interview in our collection that was recorded inside a restaurant over lunch. Years later, after Eamon had resettled in Dallas, he participated in this interview in May 2014. As a result of reestablishing contact with the Museum, he soon made a series of generous donations, gifting his entire collection of Kennedy-related and Jack Ruby trial photographic negatives to the Museum. Since this 2014 oral history, Eamon has participated in a series of public and educational programs. - Stephen Fagin, Curator","In 2020, Eamon Kennedy was the subject of an award-winning radio documentary, \"The Grief of a Nation,\" which focused on his iconic image of young Kathey Atkinson in tearful prayer at Parkland Memorial Hospital (https://emuseum.jfk.org/objects/3454). Produced by and aired on RTE Radio 1 in Ireland, the audio documentary included excerpts from the Museum's oral history with the late Kathey Atkinson.
