We were pleased that he was also willing to participate in the Oral History Project. His initial statement read: \r\n\r\n\"I was a sophomore in high school and took the day off with a friend to see the President. We saw him about 15 minutes or so before he was shot. It was very memorable, of course, to be there and see everyone running thru town yelling, 'The President has been shot.'
