DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Evadeane Peters. During the 1950s, Peters was chairman of the Republican Party of Rockwall County in Texas. Although not a supporter, she went to Dallas Love Field and shook hands with President and Mrs. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Her political views later changed during the Civil Rights Movement.
Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on January 7, 2015 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is thirty-one minutes long.
