Curatorial Commentary
Oswald does not have a standard student portrait in the yearbook; he left school in October that year to join the Marines.  Please see Oswald's certificate of acceptance into the Marines, 2013.088.0006. - Lindsey Richardson, Curator of Collections
Robert Oswald wrote "Lee: A Portait of Lee Harvey Oswald by His Older Brother" in 1967, providing an intimate account of his younger brother's formative years and family life.  Five years older than Lee, Robert has long maintained his brother's culpability in the assassination of President Kennedy and murder of Officer J.D. Tippit.  You can see this book and other resources in our Reading Room. - Mrs. Krishna B. Shenoy, Librarian/Archivist
