DescriptionOriginal 120mm black and white negative taken by a staff photographer from The Dallas Morning News. Steve Landregan, a spokesman for Parkland Memorial Hospital, holds a press conference at Parkland on Monday, November 25, 1963.
Curatorial CommentarySteve Landregan was Assistant Administrator for Professional Services at Parkland Memorial Hospital in 1963. Parkland did not have a public relations manager at the time of the assassination. Since Landregan had a background in journalism, he was quickly assigned to manage the local, national, and international journalists descending upon the hospital. He also worked directly with the Connally and Oswald families.
Mr. Landregan shared his memories during a Living History program at The Sixth Floor Museum in 2016. A video recording of this program can be seen on the Museum's YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fizNg9XYr3k. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
