This image shows the jury selection for the change of venue hearing for Jack Ruby, dated February 1964.  The image was taken through the window of a door labeled, "Central Jury Room."  A large group of people are seated inside this room; there are some empty chairs in the front row.

This image is on "Kodak Tri X Pan Film / Kodak Safety Film +."  This image is labeled "2" on the film.

The metadata provided by The Dallas Morning News for the digital version of these images includes this description:  "TDMN JFK negatives collection / February 1964 - opening of Jack Ruby trial - jury selection."

This item was originally stored in the "The Dallas Morning News JFK Assassination Negatives and Contact Sheets Vol. 2" binder (2014.080.0350).

The negative sleeve has a typed adhesive label in the upper left corner. The label reads: "JFK 72."  "Jack Ruby/Hearing" is written in orange-red grease pencil in the "Assignment" section at the upper edge of the negative holder.  "9" is written in the "File No:" section.

The change of venue hearing ran for three days, February 10-12, 1964. Ultimately, Ruby's request for a change of venue was denied and the trial was set to take place in Dallas.
