DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with George Schrader. Schrader served as Assistant City Manager for Dallas from 1966 to 1972 and City Manager from 1972 to 1981. He was actively involved in the Goals for Dallas program and numerous development and civic improvement projects in the years following the Kennedy assassination.
Interview recorded at Mr. Schrader's office on February 9, 1993 by Wes Wise and Bob Porter. The interview is one hour and five minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryNearly twenty-five years after this 1993 oral history, George Schrader was the keynote speaker at the 2018 Legacies Dallas History Conference at the Dallas Public Library.
