DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Helen Holmes. Mrs. Holmes was Public Relations Director at the Sam Bloom Agency and coordinated media coverage for both President Kennedy's visit to Dallas and the Jack Ruby trial.
Interview conducted at Ms. Holmes' home on May 3, 1993 by Wes Wise with Bob Porter. The interview is two hours and fifty-six minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryIn addition to this oral history, Ms. Holmes participated in a videotaped public program at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on March 14, 2004, to mark the 40th anniversary of the verdict in the Jack Ruby trial. She is married to the long-time Dallas Times Herald editor and columnist Bert Holmes, who participated in his own videotaped oral history interview on August 3, 1993. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
