DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Anita Martinez. A longtime Dallas community leader, Martinez was the first Mexican American member of the Dallas city council (1969-73). She then spent three years doing international evaluations for the Peace Corps. Martinez observed the Kennedy motorcade on Harwood Street on November 22, 1963. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on February 25, 2016 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is thirty-eight minutes long.

A month prior to the oral history, Ms. Martinez participated in a program at the 2016 Legacies Dallas History Conference at Fair Park.
