DescriptionAudio oral history interview with Patrick Henry. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Henry grew up in a family of civil rights activities. As a teenager in the late 1960s, he joined a local Black Power organization.
Interview conducted by telephone on January 24, 2017 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is thirty-two minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryThis telephone interview is a good example of long-distance oral history outreach. I was pleased to do a virtual program with the University Circle arts district in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2017. Mr. Henry attended that presentation and soon volunteered for the Oral History Project. For more information about onsite outreach in Dallas/Fort Worth or long-distance outreach around the country, please contact oralhistory@jfk.org. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
