There is no traditional postage stamp or postage mark. Mrs. Kennedy's signature served as the official postage markings for the envelope to be mailed; this is known as privilege franking.\r\n\r\nIn the center of the front of the envelope is handwritten in black ink the name and address of the recipient:\r\n\r\n\"Mr. Wallace Bichsel\r\nAnd Family\r\nc/o Sacred Heart Church\r\nBox 427\r\nWhite Deer, Texas\".\r\n\r\nThe reverse of the envelope has a black border on the edges of the overlapping pointed flaps. \"Mrs. John F.
