List printed on three sheets of 8.5 in. x 11 in. paper that was likely originally stapled to the schematic diagram (L2017.1.154.1); there are staple holes in the upper left corner of the paper.
List has text printed in black. At top of first page are the following three lines of text in all caps:
"The key to personnel shown on the schematic diagram of the basement parking area,
City Hall, involved in the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald by Jack Ruby. Numbers
indicate position of personnel at the time of the shooting on November 24, 1963."
The list is printed with two columns of names per page, except the third page that only has a half-page list on the left side of the paper. Pages two and three are numbered at the bottom "-2-" and "-3-" respectively. The list includes names in alphabetical order from "2" to "109" with some numbers skipped in the list. The personnel listed include Jim Leavelle, Captain Will Fritz, and Jack Ruby.
This object was originally part of the evidence collected by the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and specifically prosecutors Henry Wade and Bill Alexander during the investigation leading up to the Jack Ruby trial for the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald.
The page has holes from staples in the upper left corner. There is severe yellowing and discoloration on the first page, and the yellowing is less severe on the second page and minimal on the third page. The lower right corner of each page has missing paper. Corners have fold and crease marks. Small tear on left side of first page. Crease marks throughout paper on all pages. Jack Revill, commander of the Internal Affairs Division of the Dallas Police Department in 1963. After the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald, Revill and his division conducted an extensive internal investigation. Their conclusion was that the department as a whole was negligent and no one individual (apart from Jack Ruby) was to blame for the shooting of Oswald in police custody. - Stephen Fagin, Curator In order to ensure its long-term care and preservation and to facilitate public access, the Dallas County District Attorney's Office placed their Jack Ruby Trial Collection (sometimes referred to as "the DA's Jack Ruby file") on long-term loan with The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in 2017.
