Cover shows full-color image of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. standing in Arlington National Cemetery amongst the headstones and the pale blue sky extending past the horizon over the figures' heads. President Kennedy stands on the left facing towards the spine of the magazine with his hands in his suit coat pockets. Dr. King stands on the right facing the open side of the magazine with his hands clasped and held in front of him. Senator Kennedy stands behind the other two figures facing straight ahead but with his gaze toward President Kennedy. All three men are wearing dark suits, white collared shirts, and ties. In upper right corner is the date of issue, “October 1968", and the price of the issue, "$1.50" printed in bright blue. Title of magazine, "Esquire", is printed beneath text "35th Anniversary Issue of". In a very small font size, beneath the title is the text "Salvaging the 20th Century.".
Magazine has 302 pages and front and back cover pages; bound with three metal staples along left sides of pages. Spine of magazine is white with black text: "Esquire" to far left, "E-2" in center, and "October 1968" to far right.
Magazine in good condition. Discoloration along top edge of front cover. Some color loss and color transfer visible in lighter areas of front cover. Corners have small folds and show wear.
