Letter has the following text typed at top of page:
"Havana, September 4, 1962"
The letter is addressed "My dear friend:", and follows with three and a half pages of text handwritten in script. The letter closes with "Love, M.-". All text is handwritten in black ballpoint ink, corrections are made in blue ballpoint ink. Letter discusses the fears and frustrations of Cuban citizens, feeling like they are stuck in the middle of national and international conflicts. M. refers to Castro as "the tyrant" and as a "monster", and mentions Russian ships bringing arms and ammunition to Cuba. The author closes the letter by asking for the friend to quietly go about trying to get a visa for M. to leave the country and go to the United States.
