DescriptionTIME Magazine, Vol. LXXVI No. 14, published October 3, 1960, features a caricature of Cold War Communist leaders on the cover; 88 pages. Original cost was twenty-five cents.
The cover illustration features Nikita Khrushchev drawn as the leader of a gang, accompanied down a city street by a group of thugs in matching jackets and a diminutive figure of Fidel Castro, who appears to be tagging along. Khrushchev and the gang members are all wearing matching black and red jackets that have hammer and sickle logos and the name "East Side Rockets". A man in a trench coat leans against a railing in the middle ground on the left side of the image.
"Herblock" is in the lower right corner; the customary signature for famed political cartoonist Herb Block.
