DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with William Billard. A Kennedy campaign volunteer in 1960, Billard was an emergency room orderly at Parkland Memorial Hospital at the time of the assassination. He worked the 11PM to 7AM shift on the weekend of November 22, 1963. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on January 9, 2019 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is one hour and six minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
Although several Parkland Hospital physicians and nurses have recorded oral histories with the Museum over the years, William Billard is the only 1963 emergency room orderly to participate in the project as of 2023. Mr. Billard visited the Museum in 2018 and subsequently volunteered to share his memories as part of the Oral History Project. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
