DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Peter Brosnan. Brosnan, a social rights activist attending New York University in the early 1970s, developed a research interest in the assassination after hearing New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison speak on campus. Brosnan interviewed a number of authors and researchers, produced a three-part radio series and organized an assassination research conference at NYU in 1975
Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on February 23, 2023 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is one hour and fourteen minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryFollowing this oral history, Peter Brosnan donated his audio-visual assassination-related materials to the Museum. The Peter Brosnan Collection (2023.009) includes six reel-to-reel audio tapes comprising his 1975 radio series and more than 35 audio cassettes of original interviews and miscellaneous radio coverage. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
