The Dallas Morning News Collection

The Dallas Morning News Collection of negatives related to President John F. Kennedy was donated to the Museum in 2014. Images in the collection actually pre-date the assassination, including many photos of Senators Kennedy and Johnson as they campaigned in Dallas and Fort Worth in 1960. Images from November 21-25, 1963 include photos of the president's stops in San Antonio and Fort Worth, as well as Dallas. While some of these images appeared in the newspaper that weekend, many have remained unpublished and provide a rare and powerful look at the events of that tumultuous weekend in 1963.
