DescriptionThe Austin bureau chief for the Houston Chronicle in 1963, Byers traveled with the presidential party during the trip to Texas and was aboard a White House Press bus in the Dallas motorcade. Interview recorded at Mr. Byers' home on July 25, 1995 by Wes Wise and Bob Porter. The interview is one hour and twenty-four minutes long.
