DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with George Reid. A longtime Kennedy supporter, Reid was a Texas campaign volunteer in 1960. He captured home movie footage of the Kennedys at Dallas Love Field and later documented the Dealey Plaza area on film on several occasions throughout the 1960s. Interview recorded at Mr. Reid's home on April 24, 1996 by Bob Porter. The interview is one hour and twenty-one minutes long.

Curatorial Commentary

Few people documented Dealey Plaza in the 1960s better than the late George Reid. In film and photographs, he captured some remarkable and historic images, including flowers in the plaza in the days following the assassination, Marguerite Oswald visiting the plaza on Mother's Day in 1964, a 1967 pro-Vietnam War demonstration in Dealey Plaza, and the construction of the John F.
