DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Dr. Charles J. "Jim" Carrico. A resident in general surgery at Parkland Hospital in 1963, Dr. Carrico was the first physician to see President Kennedy upon his arrival at the hospital. Interview conducted at Dr. Carrico's office in Dallas on August 2, 1997 by Bob Porter and Dr. Marian Ann Montgomery. The interview is one hour and twenty-four minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
Dr. Carrico passed away on July 25, 2002. This oral history was one of several featured by C-SPAN Radio and TV during the 40th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination in 2003. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
