Curatorial CommentaryAre Dealey Plaza postcards historically significant? They can be if, for example, they show how the Plaza has changed over time. This 1965 card, for instance, shows that a "Stemmons Freeway Next Right" road sign on the north (right) side of Elm Street was no longer in place two years after President Kennedy's death. Assassination researchers have long wondered what happened to the sign and why it was moved. - Gary Mack, Curator
