Dempsey later co-wrote Eddie Barker's Notebook (2006), the memoir of longtime KRLD-TV news director Eddie Barker. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on December 6, 2002 by Stephen Fagin and Arlinda Abbott. The interview is one hour and twenty minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
In addition to this 2002 oral history, Dr. Dempsey returned to the Museum for a follow-up interview in 2014. At that time, he donated to the Museum audio cassette interviews that he conducted in the late 1990s with four Ruby trial jurors. Sadly, as of 2023, Robert Flechtner is the last known surviving juror from that 1964 trial. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
