Curatorial CommentaryAt age 90 in 2022, Paul McCaghren is one of the last surviving Dallas police officials who played a key investigative role in the aftermath of the Kennedy assassination. Born in 1932, McCaghren worked for the Dallas Police Department from 1953 to 1974, rising to the rank of assistant chief (1970-72). After leaving the department, he started a security consulting and investigative services business. He was president of the company for thirty-one years and remained a consultant until retiring in 2010. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
