DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Paul Amundsen. Seven years old in 1963, Amundsen was attending St. Mark's School in Dallas at the time of the Kennedy assassination. Over the course of more than thirty years, he has interviewed classmates, school faculty, assassination and pop culture figures for an autobiographical book project about the time period. In 1991 Amundsen was an extra in Oliver Stone's film, JFK.
Interview recorded at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on December 31, 1998 by Bob Porter. The interview is forty-eight minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryPaul Amundsen returned to the Museum for a follow-up oral history on April 10, 2023. The long-term book project discussed at length during this 1998 oral history is still in progress as of 2023. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
