Curatorial Commentary
Eva's son, human rights activist Ernest McMillan, recorded oral histories with the Museum in 2006 and 2019.  He has also participated in several public and educational programs, three of which may be viewed in their entirety on the Museum's YouTube Channel: Living History with Ernest McMillan (2019) - YouTube, Living History with Ernest McMillan - YouTube, Call To Action: The SNCC Experience in Dallas - YouTube. At a few of these special events, Ernest's delightful and beloved "Mama Mac," as she was affectionately called, was seated in the audience. Eva McMillan passed away at the age of 100 on September 23, 2021. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
