DescriptionOriginal 35mm black and white negative taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. This image shows President and Mrs. Kennedy walking through a crowd of journalists toward people gathered at the fence line at Love Field on the morning of November 22, 1963.
The images on this negative strip were taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. There were three photographers at Love Field that day: John Mazziotta, Bob Jackson and Eamon Kennedy. It is not known which of the three took these pictures.
Curatorial CommentaryThe photographer behind the 16mm camera is Bob Welch of WBAP-TV/Channel 5, the NBC affiliate for the Fort Worth-Dallas area. Welch was the only TV news photographer using sound film equipment at Love Field. - Gary Mack, Curator
