DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Ferd Kaufman. An Associated Press photographer in Dallas from 1957 to 1977, Kaufman was at the Fort Worth breakfast and the Trade Mart luncheon on November 22, 1963. He also took one of the first still photos of Lee Harvey Oswald in custody following his arrest and later covered the Jack Ruby trial in 1964.
Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on August 3, 2009 by Stephen Fagin, Associate Curator. The interview is one hour and eight minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryPrior to this oral history recording, Mr. Kaufman participated in a videotaped interview with the Museum on July 7, 1999. In 2011, he donated to the Museum a large collection of photographs and artifacts from his career with the Associated Press. - Stephen Fagin, Associate Curator
