DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Thomas N. Smith. Fourteen years old in 1963, Smith saw the Kennedy motorcade on Main Street. In 1964, he attended one day of the Jack Ruby trial. The letter he wrote to Jackie Kennedy on November 23, 1963, was later selected for publication in Dr. Ellen Fitzpatrick's book, "Letters to Jackie: Condolences from a Grieving Nation" (2010). Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on April 9, 2010 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is one hour and six minutes long.
