DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Jean Kerr. Kerr was scheduled to sing the national anthem at the presidential luncheon at the Dallas Trade Mart on November 22, 1963. She did not have the opportunity to perform that day, following word of the assassination. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on November 23, 2011 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is twenty-two minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
Jean Kerr passed away on January 27, 2017. Her husband, Dallas businessman David J. Kerr, also attended the Dallas Trade Mart luncheon on November 22, 1963. He recorded an oral history with the Museum in 2004 and passed away in 2022. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
