Letter sent to Grace Bevers of Mineral Wells, Texas, from Eva Grant, Jack Ruby's sister. Although the letter was not signed, family members of Grace Bevers saved the letter and identify its author as Eva Grant.
Letter reads as follows:
"October 19th.1966.
Dear Mrs. Bever:
Your letter to Jack Ruby has been turned over to his family. On June 22nd. you wanted him to call you collect. Mr Ruby can call his Attornies or members of his family. He isnot permitted to call persons, that he didnot know previous to the time of incident. His family doesnot want him writting to strange persons..Please try and understand. Its for his very own good that they have advise him to refrain from doing the above mention. His family appreciate your interest in Mr. Ruby. They want to thank you for sending cards and your good wishes to him..... Mrs. Grant has moved to a new location.....

The letter has been folded and has crease marks on the folds. There is an ink spot in the center and another at the bottom.
The envelope is type-addressed to:
"MRS GRACE BEVERS
BOX 524
Mineral Wells Texas 76067"
It is postmarked: "DALLAS, TEX. 3A / PM / 19 OCT 1966" and stamped with a 5 cent U.S. postage stamp depicting George Washington.
There is a handwritten note in pencil on the left side of the envelope that reads: "From: Jack Ruby's Sister Eva."
