DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Jarrold Cabluck. A Fort Worth Star-Telegram photographer in 1963, Cabluck covered President Kennedy in Fort Worth and Dallas. Following the assassination, he went to Parkland Memorial Hospital and then took aerial photographs of Dealey Plaza.
Interview conducted at Mr. Cabluck's home in Fort Worth on February 8, 2012 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is fifty-five minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryFive days prior to this oral history with Jarrold "Jerry" Cabluck, I had the pleasure of interviewing his brother, Harry Cabluck, at his home in Austin. Harry and Jerry were both photographers at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in 1963, although Harry was employed at the time by the Associated Press. The two brothers captured a number of memorable images before and after the Kennedy assassination, including Jerry's notable aerial photographs of Dealey Plaza just hours after the shooting. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
