DescriptionOriginal 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer William Allen Friday afternoon after the assassination - between 12:30 and 1 p.m. This image shows the south-facing exterior of the Texas School Book Depository as viewed from Elm Street. The southeast corner entrance to the building is visible, along with the first six floors of the building. The building's seventh and top-most floor does not appear in this picture. Open windows are visible on the fourth, fifth and sixth floors of the building.
