Oswald was arrested in New Orleans on August 9, 1963, for disturbing the peace while handing out these pro-Castro leaflets.
Curatorial CommentaryThe Museum's collection also includes a home movie shot in New Orleans in 1963 that shows Lee Harvey Oswald distributing these flyers and being arrested after an altercation with three men.
