DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Bill Sloan. A copy editor at the Dallas Times Herald in 1963, Sloan wrote a number of stories on the Kennedy assassination in the 1960s. He later became a national tabloid editor and an assassination researcher. His books include "JFK: The Last Dissenting Witness" (1992), co-authored with eyewitness Jean Hill, and "JFK: Breaking the Silence" (1993). His novel about a Kennedy assassination conspiracy, "The Other Assassin," was published in 1989.
Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on July 11, 2014 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is forty-eight minutes long.

On the same day as this 2014 interview, Sloan's wife, Lana Henderson Sloan, also recorded an oral history about her experiences as a women's news reporter at the Dallas Times Herald in the 1970s.
