DescriptionOriginal 35mm black and white negative taken by an unidentified Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. The image shows Dallas florist shop owners Mr. and Mrs. Pete Harris standing with buckets of the yellow roses which would be used to decorate the Dallas Trade Mart for the luncheon scheduled to honor President and Mrs. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. The dark roses visible between Mr. and Mrs. Harris are the red roses which would be presented to Mrs. Kennedy upon her arrival at Love Field. Curators have determined that these photos were taken on either November 20th or November 21st, since one of the images from this negative strip appeared in the afternoon edition of the Dallas Times Herald on Thursday, November 21, 1963.
