DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Imogene Alexander. A Dallas housewife in 1963, Alexander was an avid viewer of the long-running soap opera, "As The World Turns." She recalls news of the president's shooting interrupting the November 22nd broadcast. Her husband, Jack T. Alexander, was a lieutenant with the Dallas Fire Department at the time. He was acquainted with Jack Ruby. Interview conducted at The Bentley retirement home in Dallas on October 21, 2015 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is five minutes long.

Imogene Alexander passed away on October 18, 2024 at the age of 92.

On the same day as this 2015 oral history with Imogene Alexander, I interviewed her husband, Jack T. Alexander, who was a lieutenant with the Dallas Fire Department in 1963 and acquainted with Jack Ruby. His interview may be found here: Jack T.
