Tippit's wife Marie sits on the couch in their Dallas home in November 1963 with her children. Mrs. Tippit holds her younger son Curtis; daughter Brenda and older son Allan are seated on either side of her.
Curatorial Commentary
The Tippits' eldest son, Allan, passed away in 2014 following a long battle with lung cancer. The surviving Tippit family members seen in this photograph - widow Marie and children Brenda and Curtis - shared their memories at a public program at The Sixth Floor Museum in 2015, marking what would have been Officer Tippit's 90th birthday.
