DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Mike Cochran. A reporter with the Associated Press for nearly four decades, Cochran covered President Kennedy in Fort Worth, the assassination aftermath at Parkland Memorial Hospital, and Lee Harvey Oswald's funeral, where he served as a pallbearer. He later covered the Jack Ruby trial in 1964.
Interview conducted at Mr. Cochran's home on July 14, 1993 by Wes Wise and Bob Porter. The interview is one hour and nineteen minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryIn addition to this 1993 recording, Mr. Cochran recorded a second oral history with The Sixth Floor Museum nearly twenty years later on October 14, 2013. He passed away on January 11, 2022. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
