DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Linda Renfro. A Fort Worth junior high school student, Renfro and her classmates observed the Kennedy motorcade on its way to Carswell Air Force Base on November 22, 1963. Her late parents, George and Arthurine Renfro, founders of Fort Worth-based Renfro Foods, attended the Chamber of Commerce breakfast at the Hotel Texas that morning.
Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on April 6, 2016 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is twenty minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryRenfro Foods, Inc. was founded in Fort Worth in 1940 by George and Arthurine Renfro and, as of 2023, remains owned and operated by the second and third generations of the Renfro family.
