DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Gloria Arellanes. A recognized leader of the Chicano Movement, Arellanes was the only female minister in the Brown Berets and a vocal anti-Vietnam War activist. She traveled to Washington, D.C. for the Poor People’s Campaign in 1968 and has remained a prominent community activist in El Monte, California, for more than sixty years.
Interview conducted over Zoom on July 30, 2021 by Curator Stephen Fagin. The interview is 1 hour and 16 minutes long.
