The Museum's Oral History Collection includes several interviews with women who share a similar experience to Lois Schneider through scrapbooking as a response to the Kennedy assassination. Ann Rose (Ann Rose Oral History – Works – The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza) created several scrapbooks in the aftermath of the assassination and Jack Ruby trial (for which her husband was a juror). Leah Rae Elewitz (Leah Rae Elewitz Oral History – Works – The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza) collected content for her assassination scrapbook for nine years. Both women donated their works to the Museum, providing personal interpretations and emotional perspectives on the 1960s. - Riley Harris, Collections Cataloger
While the assassination of President Kennedy had a profound impact on the United States, it was also significant on a global scale. The Museum's Collection includes oral histories with individuals who share their memories of the assassination from outside of the United States, including countries in Asia, Africa, and South America. The Collection includes numerous international newspapers and magazines.
