Dr. Glenn Linden Oral History
Dr. Glenn Linden, who was my mentor and undergraduate advisor at Southern Methodist University, was a founding board member of the Dallas County Historical Foundation and contributed to the development and earliest years of The Sixth Floor Museum. From its opening in 1989 until 2008, Linden annually brought his spring semester class of U.S. history students for an informative guided tour of the sixth floor. I had the pleasure of accompanying Linden and his students on several of these visits, always picking up new insights about the development of the exhibition.
In addition to this 1997 oral history, I had the honor of conducting my own videotaped interview with him on June 9, 2008. Linden also hosted a Museum screening of the controversial civil rights film, Dallas at the Crossroads, on May 24, 2006. Dr. Linden passed away on June 26, 2012. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
