DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Lonny Smith. A Kennedy volunteer during the 1960 presidential campaign, Smith was working for a conservative businessman in Dallas at the time of the assassination. In January 1964, he visited and photographed the president’s gravesite at Arlington National Cemetery. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on July 7, 2003 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is twenty-five minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
Lonny Smith passed away on August 5, 2018. In 2003-2004, he donated to the Museum several magazines as well as nineteen photographs, including images he took of President Kennedy's gravesite in January 1964.
