DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Ann Atterberry. A women's news reporter at The Dallas Morning News in 1963, Atterberry witnessed the Kennedy assassination from the north side of Elm Street in Dealey Plaza. She can be seen in the Abraham Zapruder film.
Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on November 10, 2003 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is forty-nine minutes long.
Curatorial CommentaryAnn Donaldson Atterberry passed away on October 23, 2009 at the age of 72. Her roomate in 1963, mentioned during this oral history, was fellow Dallas Morning News employee and assassination eyewitness Mary Woodward Pillsworth. The late Ms. Pillsworth recorded an oral history in 2013 and returned to the Museum for a public program in 2015: Living History with Mary Woodward Pillsworth (youtube.com). - Stephen Fagin, Curator
