Curatorial Commentary
Several Ruby family members have participated in the Oral History Project over the years. In addition to Fred Ruby, the Museum recorded interviews with Jack Ruby's late brother, Earl, as well as Earl's daughter, Joyce Ruby Berman, and Rondine Volpert, granddaughter of Ann Rubenstein Volpert (one of Jack Ruby's sisters). The consensus among these individuals is that Jack Ruby's murder of Lee Harvey Oswald on November 24, 1963 had a long-lasting emotional and financial impact on the entire Ruby family. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
